How to connect to Shoretel mySQL Configuration Database – Version 10+
As Shoretel versions change the methods for connecting to the configuration database change as well. On versions 10 and greater, here is how you can access MySQL and create a read-only user that can be used for SELECT queries in the database.
Shoretel Configuration Database: shoreware
Default Username: root
Default Password: <check with your Shoretel partner>
Connect to mySQL
- Open a command prompt.
- CD to mySQL Path.
- Launch mySQL.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Shoreline Communications\ShoreWare Server\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.0\bin>
mysql -u root -p --port=4308 -D shoreware Enter password: ************ Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g. Your MySQL connection id is 284406 Server version: 5.0.68-br30478-enterprise-nt-br30478-log MySQL Enterprise Server (Commercial) [-br30 478]
Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the buffer.
mysql> show tables;
